Adam is the Antichrist, literally. He was born of Satan and was meant to destroy the world. He just decided to not do that instead.
That said, Adam has the ability to see Truth of things. This means that he can look at a person and tell who they really are. He can't read minds, per say, but he can look at a person and really see them. This ability means that he gets the general impression of a person just by first glance.
For example, if your character was a thousand year old vampire trying to pass for human? Adam should be able to see that and know. Or even if your character is human but has something intense within them, both evil and good, Adam would be able to see it. For example, he'd be able to look at a character like Dexter and know they are a serial killer or look at Emma Swan and tell she is not only a Savior but born of true love.
If he does See your character, he won't just outright out them. Generally, he uses this ability to act the way that they would like him to act, and this ability is largely what he has to thank for being considered charismatic and likeable. If it is something dangerous your character might notice him paying attention to them a bit more, or if he thinks they can handle it, he'll make a causal comment about it, but in general it's just information that he files away to inform him how act around your character.
Despite that, this ability can clearly cause some problems that I'm sure we'd all like to avoid.
To stop this from becoming an issue, the augment will only allow him to see what you are comfortable with him seeing. Depending on what you want, the augment will block him from seeing the Truth completely, give him only a part of the Truth, or allow him to see everything that he would normally be able to see.
Please comment here and tell me what Adam would be able to see when he looks at your character. To make things easier, this will only be the case when he is face-to-face with them. Over network communications need not apply.
NOTE; Given Adam's nature, it's also perfectly understandable that you'd like to opt out of interacting with him completely. There is no reason to give me a reason why you'd prefer that, just comment here saying you'd like to opt out and I'll keep that in mind to not comment to your character with him. If you have multiple characters, please provide all of their names and journals so I know who to avoid with him.
