History: This page on the Good Omen's Lexicon sums up Adam's role in the book.

After the events of Prophecy, Adam went back to living a normal life in his tiny little town. He remained a thoughtful but mischievous boy. He and his friends remained close as they grew older. He lived the idyllic life.

When puberty started and he became more restless, a developer came to Tadfield and some clubs opened up, though it seemed regulated to only one part of the town on a street that most residents couldn't recall being there beforehand. The places were popular and did well enough to stay in businesses without intruding on the overall nature of the town. That is, they did well enough until Adam began to mellow out again and then only a couple of his favorites stuck around while the owners of the others found themselves mysteriously coming into enough money that they didn't have to work another day of their lives. The space where the other clubs used to be was turned into a community pool.

When it was time to go to university and Adam made up his mind to go into community development, all of the right professors seemed to find their dream careers at the Norton in Tadfield.

Adam left school, completing it in half the time of other students, and has since opened his own development firm which focuses on small towns in struggling nations. He does so ethically, with his focus on what the village he is working with says that it needs, not what an Englishman would assume it needs. His work creates towns that slowly grow into their own, and that will, within a few years time, become thriving communities.

Many would assume, given the philanthropic nature of his projects and his utter lack of desire to do any for-profit work, that his firm would be struggling, but the value of his company is steady, his employees are happy and satisfied in their work, and his crews are among the safest in the world. It seems that the funding that he needs is just always mysteriously there. Many chalk that up to Adam's easy charisma, something that must come in handy for fundraising. Even though he doesn't seem to do much of that except during moments when a fancy party sounds fun.

In his personal life, Adam is open about how he finds all genders attractive. He thinks that all people are interesting enough to dedicate his time to and loves spending time with them, but is a strongly confirmed bachelor. He is well liked by his peers and seems to let any hint of scandal over his open sexuality or mysterious funding just roll off his back until it's forgotten to the ages.

He also has an adorable Dog who never seems to age.

Personality: Adam is basically what happens when you give a being of untold ability and potential for pure horror a life in which he is content and satisfied. He could destroy the world and make it in the image of his Father (the not-Mr-Young one), but why would he do that when the world has such great things in it like his friends, his family, and ice cream?

This means that Adam has almost a lazy quality to him, as he's so content with this existence that at times he seems to just sit back and enjoy the show more than anything. That being said, he can be prompted to action when confronted with injustice or what he sees as injustice. This started when Anathema Device first introduced him to the terrible things that happened in the world outside of Tadfeild. His first attempt at changing things for the better had been too big, too much like what his Father (the not-Mr-Young one) expected of him. Changing the world for the better in smaller ways allows people to still be just people, but in a situation that is better for them and allows them to fulfill their true potential. Adam is almost entirely focused on that now.

Outside of work, Adam has an easy charisma. Nothing seems to ever really bother him (in part because getting emotional is dangerous for him) and he is known for just accepting people for who they truly are without judgement. He has an innate understanding of people, and yet still seems entirely interested in them and what they have to say.

All that being said, there is, of course, a darker side to his personality. He has the potential of being a key example of 'power corrupts' and fears that one day he will become too powerful and fall back into bad habits.

One of the reasons that he is a confirmed bachelor is that he fears feeling that level of attachment to a person. What if that person was a woman and she wanted to have kids? That could be entirely too dangerous. Not only that, but having that level of command of another person's emotions would make them a little too easy to manipulate and he worries that he might go down that route if he was put into that position.

It's also why he focuses entirely on non-profit projects rather than trying to turn his firm into a huge success. That much money and power would be a terrible thing to have in his hands. Despite his easy going nature and pure charisma, Adam is constantly checking himself, making sure that he doesn't ever cross the line. He knows he could easily fall, and that fall would have consequences for every living human.

Abilities: Adam has the ability to warp reality to suit his needs but in a particular sort of way. For example, he can't just blink a red ball into existence but he can change things so that a red ball was always in the room and all he has to do is go get it. His abilities literally blinked an entire race of aliens and underground mole people into existence, so he can change literally anything that he wants to. He knows that his ability comes with a lot of responsibility and has learned over the years how to keep it small scale and detailed. He doesn't just blink a new community into place now, he listens to what people say they need and then arranges it so that his crew are able to effectively and quickly provide that.

This ability will be severely hampered by the augment and he'll only be able to change things on a very, very small scale and only within a closed radius of his body. IE, he'll be able to do the trick with finding a red ball in the room, but he won't be able to make it so red balls were never invented or even make it so a red ball can be found on a ship he's not on. He also will not be able to use it to change anything fundamental about other passengers. He'll be able to do something like change the nail color of someone's polish, but not anything about their personality or body (which is something he would avoid doing anyway but the augment will make possible).

He also has the ability to see the Truth of things. This means that he can look at a person and tell who they really are. He can't read minds, per say, but he can look at a person and really see them. He was able to tell that Aziraphale was stuck in another man's head, for instance, and then arrange things to separate them. He was able to see that Crowley wasn't human. This ability means that he gets the general impression of a person just by first glance.

This second ability will only work on a per-permission basis in game. Depending on what the other player wants, the augment will block him from seeing the Truth, give him only a part of the Truth, or allow him to see everything that he would normally be able to see.

Augment Skillset: Engineering Augment
